Cell Insurance is an ISO certified insurance company, a sign of strong commitment to quality service delivery. The company always thrives to ensure all its products and services surpass the customer’s requirements.
Cell Insurance Company was first certified to the SAZ Quality Management Standards ZWS ISO 9001:2008 in July 2013. Since then the language and culture that the company has been living defines the desire to satisfy customer needs, through continuously improving and introducing innovate products based on efficient business processes, well-defined measurement, best practices and customer surveys.
The ZWS ISO 9001:2008 certificate is valid for three years, hence Cell Insurance Company had to recertify accordingly. It has been a tough journey to ensure that all the requirements of the standard were met and satisfied, however, because the Quality Management System had evolved from being an ISO 900:2008 development team mandate to a management system, where all employees are involved the recertification process was a sucess.
What does ISO certification mean for the company?
At Cell Insurance we believe the attainment of ISO 9001:2008 recertification is the reinforcement of our commitment to continue offering a quality service delivery and surpass the client’s expectations. ISO 9001:2008 QMS is not a project but has become a way of living; quality culture. The QMS has been enshrined in all our systems and is no longer differentiated from normal day to day way of doing business. Through certification we have committed ourselves to ensuring that the customer is central to all activities within the subsidiaries.
Benefits of being ISO Certified
We have adopted a practical approach in the implementation of the ISO 9001:2008 QMS and this has ensured that the QMS improves the business and does not just become a set of procedures that our employees find difficult to understand. By implementing and conforming to the requirements of the ISO 9001:2008 standard we have put in place efficient, effective, consistent and repeatable systems and processes that ensure employees are aware of what they are doing, tasks are done right the first time and service failures are reduced. This is not to say failures have been completely eliminated and where service failures arise, the system also ensures that the root cause is identified and corrective action is put in place to prevent a recurrence. ISO certification will ensure we satisfy our clients resulting in repeat business and referrals that will ensure growth and profitability of the organization. We strongly believe the ultimate benefactor of ISO certification is our client whose requirments shall be surpassed in line with our Quality Management System philosophy.
Maintaining the certification
The Company’s recertification in 2016 signifies that the quality culture is now embedded into our daily routines because the Quality Management System has become inseparable from our day to day activities. We have put in place systems that ensure the Quality Management System is continuously reviewed for effectiveness. Continual improvement is paramount in ensuring ISO 9001:2008 certification is maintained. Through routine scheduled audits the Quality Management System will be reviewed and corrective action warranted determined and implemented. Our ultimate objective is to ensure the Quality Management System becomes a proactive rather than a reactive system and there is more of preventive as opposed to corrective action. The company’s board, executive management, management and the rest of the employees have made a commitment in their various capacities to ensure the ISO 9001:2008 certification is maintained.
As the ISO 9001:2008 standard will be phased out in 2017, we are committing ourselves to soon certify on the latest standard ZWS ISO 9001:2015
